The 2nd EKG-12K shovel was commissioned in Ukraine

          

New EKG-12K shovel made by IZ-KARTEX was commissioned at the PJSC Ingulets GOK (Ukraine) on November 01, 2017. This is the 2nd improved EKG-12K shovel which was acquired by PJSC Ingulets GOK within the 2017 investment program.

The first Russian EKG-12K shovel have been commissioned at the Ingulets GOK on August 21, 2017. The uniqueness of EKG-12K consists of its sizes and technical characteristics. The main bucket capacity is 12 m3. Earlier only shovels with 8 m3 and 10 m3 main bucket capacity, also made by IZ-KARTEX, have been working at the Ingulets GOK.

During the creation of this shovel the IZ-KARTEX mechanician have considered design features of its predecessors.

The improved EKG-12K shovel has the modern control system which allows to exercise the full control of the equipment’s work and the main drives parameters. The cabin of the driver is equipped with the system of video surveillance, vibro-and a noise isolation, and built-in conditioner.

Technical specialists from OMZ- Krivbass-Service (Ukraine, Krivoi Rog) have carried out the assembly and installation, adjustment and acceptance tests of new EKG-12 K shovels within 40 days.

Two new IZ-KARTEX EKG-20K shovels will strengthen the shovel park of the Ingulets GOK and will allow to increase pit productivity. The mountain equipment of new generation will be involved in the pit on the loading of mountain weight in heavy-load dump trucks with a 130-220 tons loading capacity.

The planned average productivity of the EKG-12K shovels at the Ingulets GOK is 8 tcm of rock per day.
